Suffering from chronic sleep paralysis, I would often have some of the worst nightmares. For those of you who have never experienced sleep paralysis before, it’s something that happens when you are in the deepest of sleep and wake up abruptly. The problem is, however, that your body is fast asleep while your brain is still wide awake and the only thing you can move are your eyes. Normally right before a sleep paralysis episode, I would be in the middle of the most amazing dream. Then, all of a sudden that euphoric dream would spiral out of control into the worst nightmare. When I would finally wake up,
I would barely remember the dream or nightmare and so I started
a dream journal. After every dream, I would write a couple lines of nonsense pertaining
to the dream and then title the dream entry accordingly. These journal entries would
eventually become drawings and doodles. With a strong passion for drawing and design
I transformed my dreams and nightmares into the designs that would become Sleep
Terror Clothing.
